Weezer - Say it ain't so
Wrote by front man, Rivers Cuomo. "Say it ain't so" was released in 1995 as the band's third single, and most recently, the song was ranked #72 on Rollling Stone's list of the top 100 Greatest Guitar songs of all-time. The song tells the story of Cuomo coming home and finding a bottle of beer in the refrigerator on day during his teenage years. He believes that his parents divorce (when he was just four years old) was caused by his father's alcoholism, and the beer in the fridge is a cruel reminder of the incident. Even without the back story, the song still rocks and rolls through my Weezer video weekend.
